What should I do if I suspect my pet has rabies?

Category: Nuisance Animal

It is important to keep your animals up to date on vaccinations and have those records available.

If you suspect rabies, our humane officers recommend that the animal be taken to a veterinarian and quarantined (boarded) for a minimum period of 10 days so that the veterinarian and staff can evaluate the animal's behavior and then decide on a test to be performed based on the evaluation.
