However, the City of Charleston has a TNR (trap, neuter, release) program in partnership with Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association.

Through this program, traps can be set, the cats captured, spayed or neutered, then released back into their neighborhoods to assist with overpopulation.

If you are aware of a feral cat colony, and would like to begin a TNR program, you may contact metro non-emergency 304-348-8111 and speak to a Humane Officer to set up an available time and day.
